About Pat Girondi:

Patrick Girondi is a well-known and respected Chicago Trader & local personality who has spent over 20 years raising awareness and funding research for rare diseases known as Orphan Diseases. In 1983 he created The Robin Hood Association as his way to give back to the community and those less fortunate. Today, The Orphan's Dream Foundation, Inc. continues on where the Robin Hood Association left off.

Pat understands first hand the importance of supporting the organizations that research new ways to fight orphan disease. With your help, he can continue his pursuit for finding new cures.

Pat resides in Bari, Italy with his family and commutes regularly to Chicago.

About Robin Hood Orphan Disease Association and The Orphan's Dream Foundation, Inc.:

The Robin Hood Association was originally founded in 1983 by Patrick Girondi. Its goal was to support needy causes and put money back into the community.

The Foundation was also supported by Greg Swan, Robin Hood’s “Friar Tuck” who helped the organization send kids with cancer to Disney World, aided families in hardship, and sponsored youth sport teams all over Chicagoland.

Little did they know it, but Pat was to become one of the needy ones. In 1992, Pat’s son Rocco was diagnosed with the rare blood disease, Thalassemia. Since then, Pat has utilized every resource, including raffling his Rolls Royce, to raise money and awareness for the cause.

The Orphan's Dream Foundation, Inc., continues today with the same spirit of giving something back. We are a nonprofit organization founded to inspire awareness in our communities and make a difference in the cure of orphan diseases through financial generosity and volunteer commitment.
